António Borges last updated 24 september 2013

Manuel Sebastião gave me the sad news early Sunday morning 25 August and confirmed later  that the vigil would be at Estrela around 6pm. I arrived at the same time as Nunes Liberato, another class mate of António Borges (picture). At the mass on Sunday Manuel made an impressive eulogy.

António was the first to go of the “Invisible Hand” group (Item 101 of my publication list quoted below) and the Portuguese group of the Trilateral Commission decided the next day to organize a conference in his memory.

On 28 August, 2012, Diário Económico had published an article on my alledged love hate relationship with him and I noted it the media section of this website that the result spoke for itself.

A Mão Invisível (with António Barbosa, Manuel Barbosa, Miguel Beleza, António Borges and Diogo Lucena), Lisboa: Semanário, 1985.
